Graeme Williams and myself made the trip to the Giles Campus French Immersion School today where we taught the Grade 4s and 5s the basics of the game of squash in their gym. These students will be making a field trip to Windsor Squash and Fitness Club next week to play squash on the real courts and will be learning ways to be physically fit.

Williams reviving local interest in squash
The Windsor Star ran a great story about our squash pro Graeme Williams today. In the article Graeme talks about the great experience he just had coaching Canada's National Team in Mexico last month at the Pan Am Championships. In addition, to this Graeme talks about the growth of our junior squash program and credits it to the Active Schools Program. Great Job Graeme. New School Year
Our
goal like yours is to educate youth – we focus on giving them a healthy start
to a lifetime of activity
I hope everyone had a great summer and are ready for the start
of a new school year. With a new school year, also means a new year for Windsor
Squash and Fitness Club’s Active Schools Program . Last school year our
program continued to grow with over 2000 students participating in the program.
I would like to personally thank everyone who brought in their classes last
year. This year the program has grown to include grades 1 thru 12 and is offering yoga for
students of all ages. We are currently taking booking for the 2014/15 school year. Also new this year you can follow us on Twitter: David Guthrie@activeschool14.
